Practice Operational Assessments
Operational assessments begin with data analysis and chart audits followed by interviews with staff, from reception to schedulers, clinicians to business office staff. In addition, the practice operational assessment team will observe staff throughout their daily work to gain a clear understanding of how patients and information flow and where there are opportunities for improvement in throughput and staffing efficiency. In addition, our team reviews data regarding overall service/patient volumes in order to compare staffing levels to other similarly situated radiation oncology centers and provide reference points for staffing. Upon data analysis we will evaluate current operations and offer recommendations on potential areas for improvement.
Outcomes of practice operational assessments may include:
- Formal workflow and role delineation documents
- Training plans to help engage staff and ensure higher quality and consistency
- Consistent review of reports and metrics
- Review department (technical and professional) issues and opportunities
